Summary
This role supports mid-range to long-range mine planning by providing technical support to mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for a Safety First attitude
- Assesses and aligns mid and long range planning based on safety, environmental compliance, stakeholders requirements, and costs
- Collaborating with all departments at the mine and corporate level
- Responsible for designing detailed plans to ensure that projects meet business objectives for a variety of projects and activities that are usually carried out by others.
- Responsible for leading the communication of project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Responsible for preparing and gaining alignment on engineering proposals, feasibility studies and vendor/construction packages.

Typical Education
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mining Engineering
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 year of short range planning in surface mining, and 5+ years related experience and Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with Minescape, Vulcan, or similar type software
- Experience with mine scheduling software
- Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
